Probably the first thing that you thought of when you came to
this site was: "What the heck is Quoi?" Most likely, the reason for
this is that I created the word...so now I'll have to explain it to everyone
so I don't look like a fool.
Quoi, bluntly, is the society that we live in at
this time. When using the word society to describe what I am, in a little while,
going to explain to you, I was caught in many traps and holes that the word
had set for me. Therefore, to avoid any of these traps, I created the word Quoi
and now may use it as I wish.
But there is a lot more to Quoi than just "The society that we live in at this time." There is a lot more than just that. Saying that is like saying that love is "just some feeling that you get" or hate is "something you feel when you don't like someone." Yeah, these things are true, but the definitions run much deeper than the ones I gave. Quoi is actually a mind-set of a human being. I first defined the word as a Quoiian (someone who lives in Quoi) and then was able to define Quoi more readily.
Now, enough with all the background and boring stuff. I'll begin
to define Quoi fully right now. I'm not going to beat around the bush like I
thought I would, but come right out and tell you what Quoi is and what's wrong
with it. I'm not a good enough teacher to use the little strange things that
teachers use to help you learn. For now, just read the definition and understand
what it is. Afterwards, I will make connections to our world.
Quoi is the following :
The state of mind in which one creates around oneself a shell which is free of all things that one fears.
This does not end here at all. The definition of Quoi has been simplified from all of my notes into one scentence, something that I do not like doing at all. Quoi can refer to one person or an entire species. So, more or less, Quoi, the human society at this point in time, is activly creating this shell (Quoi Shell) around themselves. In order to create the Quoi Shell, according to the definition, one must destroy all that one fears. Therefore, Quoi is also
The active destruction of all that one fears.
So, if a Quoi Shell is devoid of all that one fears and Quoi is created this Quoii Shell around itself, and Quoi is the society that we live in, the following assumptions can be made:
We, as a society of humans, are destroying all that we fear.
The evidence for the above statement will be discussed in "What do we fear?" so that my fingers don't fall off.
Now, Quoi can be take in two senses. First, it can be taken in the sense of the world. Second, it can be taken in the sense of the human race. Most people who are ecologists would rather see the first sense be discussed greatly, but I am not a die-hard ecologist and don't know much about eco-systems and the like. What I do know about is the human race, something we all know a little about. It is easy to know about humans because they are all around us and very easy to examine, for their behaviors are very easy to read. Therefore, in the next few topics that I write on this site, I will discuss the human mind and what they are doing and go in depth on Quoi and what it is.
